Lee Blakeley transports us to the 1920’s and using a railway metaphor through out, brilliantly uses everything at his disposal ... the complicite between stage and pit was palpable. ~ FORUM OPERA

"We drew much influence from European cinema and theatre to create the production. With elements of Cinema Paradiso and Six Characters in search of an Author we worked to keep the narrative as clear as we possibly could. The focus on the ordinariness of the lives of the protagonists and their desire to escape from drudgery was central to the show which is why we invented  a railway terminus  conceit in which to house the action."
